A downloadable tabletop rpg playbook

You’re just a person. A regular old name-brand human being. That thing sharing your body with you, whispering directly into your thoughts, giving you superpowers? Not so much.

An unofficial playbook for Masks: A New Generation by Brendan Conway, inspired by characters like Eddie Brock and Klaus Hargreeves. If you've ever wanted to play a teenage superhero working through messy entanglements while saddled with a ghost, an alien, an AI, a demon, an angel, a minor god, etc, this is the playbook for you.  Don't forget to send your GM the sheet of GM moves as well!

Thanks to Ari Ingalls (@ari_ingalls on Twitter) and Evan Orbeck (@slash_grip on Twitter) for the beta reading, mechanical suggestions, and overall willingness to enable my Venom bullshit. Big thanks to Mikey (@quantumdotdot on Twitter) as well for some excellent playtesting feedback!

A really amazing Masks playbook that does a lot of really cool things. It needed a bit of tweaking to use for a Phoenix host in my game but after doing so it really sang! Thank you!

thank you so much for this review, i'm so glad it ran okay! there were some things that felt a little clumsy to me while i was writing the playbook but that i wasn't sure how to fix, so i'm curious about the tweaks you ended up making

Is it okay if I email you at your email? I wanna share what I did in a better place but I didn't want to send you an email without asking first!

absolutely, please feel free! email is totally good, thanks for checking!

I would love to learn of these tweaks too!

the tweaks I made at Mikey's recommendation are detailed in the "playbook updates" devlog!
